I will say, I had no issues with the service staff provided. After spending over $700 for the room for one night, youd think it could cover the basics. We also had to push and squeeze the beds together just to get the door to close (that's how tiny the space is). There is no space for luggage in that room and there are no electrical outlets for charging cell phones. Also, the rooms with adjacent room (2 twin beds) are very deceiving. I had my baby in the room and it was very late at night so it was not something I could bring to the attention of management to correct at that time. While the hotel has many amenities, the most basic function a hotel should provide is a restful place to sleep. The door from the hallway to the room is not sealed and had at least a 1 inch gap (room 423) which allowed for all hallway noise (doors closing, people talking etc) to enter the room pretty loudly as well as the hallway light. Pair them with our frozen cocktails or a Donald Palmer. Our sandwich flock includes the Wild Bird, Hot Bird, Veggie Bird and Beach Bird. Also, this is a very family-friendly resort, so if you are a couple traveling without kids, expect the pool and hot tub to be dominated by children from sunrise to sunset. Our culinary team combines lime leaves and Korean chili flakes to give our crispy, organic fried chicken a smoky tang. While I still think this is a good place to stay, I would encourage other guests to ask for what they need as early as possible, because it definitely won't be offered to you proactively. You can communicate with the front desk via text, but they will not remind you of the housekeeping policy or go out of their way to ensure your comfort, which was especially disappointing for a longer stay. They currently have a policy that provides housekeeping after your third night, but management and hotel staff seem to disagree on whether that is provided automatically or only upon request, and there is a deadline for such a request that isn't publicly advertised. Rooms are quiet and comfortable and well-situated for access to the pool, restaurant, and nearby health club and spa. The resort's location is excellent for access to wherever you may want to go in Wine Country, and the renovations within the last few years provide a "retro" quality while still providing a modern hotel experience. All in all, it was a great place, decent rooms, nice pool (especially during the week when there were a lot less people), and good food- we just wish they hadn't been shady about the rates. The kicker was that the rate that was quoted was not at all what was billed (and we booked directly with them), and then they didn't even follow up with a receipt, we had to reach out and only after a week of phone calls did we get an itemized list of the bill. Not a huge deal, but 2 minutes of description would have saved us 15 minutes of trouble immediately after checking in and not being able to get into our room. At checkin, we barely even got a map of where our room was, and there definitely wasn't a description of the nuances of the room and property (there's two doors, the one is often jammed, if you deadbolt one, you'll have to walk all the way around to the other). What they failed at was information and transparency. The resort was very family friendly, and did great at accommodating our variety of guests (little ones, active grandparents, grandparents in wheelchairs, and parents wanting to go out on the town).
